Bright Teeth Whitening

Welcome to “Bright Teeth Whitening”.

Presumably, since you have visited this site, you are not happy with the appearance of your teeth and long for white teeth and a bright smile. In fact, your own personal ‘Celebrity Smile’.

Our aim is to help you decide on what is the best home-based Teeth Whitening Treatment for you, no matter how discolored your teeth are right now.

Bright White Smile
YOU can have a smile like this!

If you don’t like your smile because your teeth are uneven, misshapen, broken or missing – then we can’t help you. You need to visit a Dentist or an Orthodontist to get a professional opinion and the appropriate treatment for that.

However if your lack of confidence and fear of smiling is due to discoloration of your teeth – whether that be due to coffee, tobacco, wine or other types of staining, or just due to the natural cream or gray tints in the pigmentation of your tooth enamel – then we can help.

On this site we will review a variety of different Teeth Whitening Products that are available for home use. Most are easy to use and are much cheaper than the alternative procedures that you can have performed professionally in a Dental Surgery.

Check out the Product Reviews first, before you make a decision about which treatment is right for you and your particular circumstances. Many of the companies provide FREE trials of their teeth whitening products, so you can be sure of how they will work for you before you part with any money.

We encourage you to comment on your experience with the products after using them and to give them a rating. This feedback will assist us in our evaluations and recommendations and also provide guidance to others who visit the site to get an accurate representation of the quality, value and effectiveness of the various Teeth Whitening products reviewed.

If you come across a new product that we do not mention on the site, please let us know so that we can research it with the view to including the product in future updates.

We hope that you find this site useful in moving you towards brighter, whiter teeth and a celebrity smile that you will be happy to show off in any company.

Hydrogen Peroxide Teeth Whitening

Hydrogen peroxide has been used for decades as a teeth whitener. This is a weak acid and its oxidizing properties remove molecules which discolor teeth. This solution acts as a bleach making teeth whiter.

The main advantages of using hydrogen peroxide teeth whitening include the following.

  • Firstly, hydrogen peroxide is cheap and can be found in most toothpaste. You can also make your own home based hydrogen peroxide teeth whitening solution by mixing baking soda and water to create a paste. It can also be bought over the counter in different forms including gels, strips and applicators.
  • Secondly, it is a safe method of whitening teeth and is recommended by dentists all over the world.
  • Thirdly, it has been proven to be an effective way to bleach discolored teeth.

    Hydrogen Peroxide Teeth Whitening

The main disadvantage of using hydrogen peroxide to whiten teeth is that:

  • it can cause tooth and gum sensitivity. Since it’s and acid, the solution might corrode the tooth surface and cause a burning effect on the gums.
  • It can also have adverse side effects if swallowed.
  • Another disadvantage is that it doesn’t work on artificial teeth.

In order to ensure that the hydrogen peroxide product you buy doesn’t cause any side effects, you should follow all instructions provided by the manufacturer.

Hydrogen peroxide teeth whitening products come in two concentration ranges 3% to 10% and 15% to 38%. The former is the concentration found mainly in over the counter hydrogen peroxide based teeth whitening products. These include toothpastes, whitening rinses, gels, strips and trays. The 15% to 38% concentration hydrogen peroxide teeth whiteners are usually used by dentists.

The relative effectiveness of hydrogen peroxide depends on a couple of factors. These include the concentration and the amount of “treatments” done. In general, hydrogen peroxide based teeth whitening products take a couple of weeks before any apparent results are seen.

Some of the methods of applying hydrogen peroxide to whiten teeth include the following.

  • Hydrogen peroxide strips are applied onto the teeth surface. There are two types of strips, removable and dissolving strips. Removable strips are made of thin plastic while the dissolving strips dissolve gradually once they are set on the teeth surface.
  • Trays or applicators look like mouth guards. They are worn over the teeth for a period of time. A tray kit consists of the tray, syringe and a hydrogen peroxide teeth whitening gel. The hydrogen peroxide concentration is injected into the tray before it is worn over the teeth.

Safe Teeth Whitening

There can be no denying the effectiveness of teeth whitening to produce a more attractive, bright, celebrity smile – however some people have reservations about the safety of the teeth whitening procedures. Although long term use of high concentrations of hydrogen peroxide or carbamide peroxide can be harmful to teeth enamel, prudent use and the careful following of prescribed directions normally renders these effects pretty harmless.

Don’t use higher concentrations or more frequent applications than recommended – always follow directions – even if the results aren’t coming as quickly as you would like.

The fluoride that is often included in the preparations tends to offset the corrosive effect of the peroxide on tooth enamel, however there are also people in the community who are particularly sensitive to fluoride so this is another factor which should be considered when deciding on a treatment.

Safe Teeth Whitening

If your teeth are sensitive to the peroxide, or your gums become irritated or inflamed, then using lower concentrations and less frequent applications may be beneficial. There are also gels which are available which can coat the teeth and/or gums to protect them from the active ingredients.

When considering anything you plan to do your body it is always wise – in fact essential – to weigh up the consequences and consider the pros and cons of any action. This includes not only thinking of the anticipated benefits and costs, but also any possible negative outcomes of whatever decision you make.

If in doubt about the type of treatment that is best for you, then it is worthwhile to consult a dental professional before deciding what to use. This will be more expensive but greatly reduce the risks of causing harm to your teeth and gums.

All the best of luck finding a great dentist to carry out your teeth whitening procedure in Boston, Massachusetts.

Teeth Whitening Costs

Are you one of the thousands of people who want to smile but the thought of others seeing their ugly, discolored teeth prevents them from actually smiling? That is the reason that so many are seeking an effective teeth whitening treatment – preferably a method which is also affordable.

Tooth whiteners can basically be divided into two groups – those that are bleach based and those that are not bleach-based but depend on the abrasive action of components within the paste or gel.

Teeth Whitening Comparisons

Teeth whitening toothpastes are the cheapest possible option available. They contain polishing agents that are able to remove light surface stains from the teeth. However they cannot compete with bleach based products for their ability to remove more severe stains and actually whiten the tooth enamel. The most common bleaches are hydrogen peroxide and carbamide peroxide. The higher the percentage concentration of the peroxide, the stronger is the bleaching effect, and also the more expensive is the product. Typical concentrations are 10%, 16%, 22% and 36%. While the higher concentrations will get your teeth whiter there is more danger of mild burning or other unpleasant reactions.

Bleaches are most commonly in the form of gels which can be applied in “trays” resembling mouth guards or brushed directly onto the teeth. Alternatively they can be impregnated into strips which are placed against the teeth – some of these are left on for a period of time and then removed, while others gradually dissolve in the mouth. Yet others utilize a teeth whitening pen to “paint” the solution on the surface of the teeth. Certain products need to be activated by ultraviolet light to catalyze the whitening process.

If you really wish to go to the extreme you can go for professional dental treatment. This may range from application of the gel and UV illumination to the preparation and installation of porcelain veneers on the front surface of each of your teeth. While teeth whitening is very worthwhile – you should avoid the temptation of making your teeth too white. An over white smile looks very artificial and can make almost as bad an impression as the discolored teeth that you started with.

Typical costs for different products are:

  • Whitening Toothpaste: $4 – $8 per tube
  • Teeth whitening Pen: $12 – $18
  • Teeth Whitening Strips: $0.40 – $1.20 per strip
  • Gel and Tray Kits: $20 – $60
  • Dental Whitening Treatment $180 +
  • Porcelain Veneers $100′s +++ per tooth

As with most things, you get what you pay for – but the Gels, Pens and Strips are very cost effective. Remember also that Free Teeth Whitening is possible – particularly if your teeth are only mildly discolored.

John Cusworth

Think of a beautifully straight and a snowy white smile; who comes to mind? Is it Keri Hilson, Sofia Vergara, Brad Pitt, or Ben Affleck. These celebrities do not hesitate to show off those stunning teeth and why should they, those smiles are gorgeous.

Sofia Vergara Smile

But how does a person without the celebrity status or paycheck get that same stain-free smile. Celebrities have access to the most innovative cosmetic assistance with little regard to price tag, but you can get the same celeb teeth whitening results for less.

Start by asking your dentist how you can safely whiten your teeth. Dentists can use in-office tools like applying a high-concentrated

Brad Pitt Smile

peroxide gel to teeth. The peroxide is not the most cost effective or painless method, but it is available. You could always try the take home kits provided by the dentist that use a lower-concentrated peroxide gel. The gel is applied to teeth for a designated amount of time with the use of a custom-fitted tray. The results of these kits are amazing and the cost is a bit more reasonable.

Cheapest way to get those pearly whites shining is with the over-the-counter teeth whitening kits. The peroxide gel in these kits are much lower than previous options, but only come with a one size tray that may or may not fit your mouth. The results are not very effective, but a cheap option if it works.

Keri Hilson Smile

A popular choice of celebrities is the use of porcelain veneers. These  are the surefire transformation choice but the most expensive. A cosmetic procedure that can change color and size of every tooth visible when you smile will restore a dull stained smile into a sparkly breath-taking smile. Review your options and make the decision that best fits your needs and desired outcomes.

Ben Affleck Smile

Follow the celeb teeth whitening lead and soon you will be showing off your perfect snow-white celebrity smile.

Everbright (Everbrite Smile) Teeth Whitening

If you are looking for a teeth whitening system to solve your discolored teeth problem, then you may have come across “EverBrite Smile” sometimes also labeled “Everbright Smiles”.

Everbright Teeth Whitening

This is a tray based tooth whitener system based around a bleach in the form of peroxide as an active ingredient. The treatment can be carried out in the comfort of your own home, at your convenience. The package comes with sufficient 22% Carbamide Peroxide gel to provide 6 treatments as well as 2 dental impression trays.

Such a package will set you back around $88, however they do offer a 14 day “Free Trial”. Be advised to read the fine print carefully if you are considering taking advantage of one of these offers. Make sure that you notify any cancellation before the time is up so that you don’t get locked into paying for the next shipment of product – unless you are pleased with the results and wish to continue treatments.

Everbright Smile works reasonably well if the directions are followed carefully, although it was neither the most effective nor the cheapest teeth whitening system available.

Free Teeth Whitening

Before you head down the road of getting your teeth whitened – whether using a home bright teeth whitening product or getting your teeth professionally whitened by a dentist – make sure that you consider why your teeth are discolored in the first place.

Free Teeth Whitening

Perhaps you just have bad genetics – in which case you may have inherited teeth that naturally include an over-abundance of yellow or gray pigment in the enamel. In this case teeth whitening systems which are based on lifting stains from the tooth surface will not be as effective for you. You may even need to consider the drastic step of getting veneers to cover all of your teeth individually – by a qualified dentist. However this would be a last resort as the veneering procedure is extremely expensive.

Maybe your teeth are stained due to the type of foods you eat and drink. Foods such as beets, curry, soy sauce, blueberries, balsamic vinegar and tomato pastes and drinks like coffee, tea,  colas, and dark fruit juices are all guilty of causing teeth stains.

In fact anything with a strong color is likely to stain your teeth. To overcome this problem while still eating the foods that you like try to brush your teeth as soon as possible after your meal. If that is not possible rinse your mouth with water straight afterward. Combining the meal with protective foods such as lettuce and strawberries will assist greatly in reducing staining.

There are many very effective teeth whitening procedures available. However, before committing yourself to the expense of a commercial product to whiten your teeth, determine whether it is possible to remove the stains by natural methods. Better still – do everything you can to avoid stains.

Keep your smile bright and white by making the most of free teeth whitening methods.

Teeth whitening cheap

Do you dread the very idea of having to smile while you are out in public?

Are your teeth so discolored that you are ashamed to let anyone see them?

Do you want to do something about it – but just can’t afford it in your current circumstances?

Well, the good news is that you don’t have to get professional dental treatment from your dentist to make your teeth white again. You can of course – and you will get great results – but it may well cost you an arm and a leg. Even many of the excellent peroxide gel and tray systems or teeth whitening pens can be too expensive for many people to justify the cost.

But never fear. You can do teeth whitening cheap. No, you do not have to use the latest tooth whitening program to hit the market. There are many naturally occurring substances that you can use instead of the expensive (and sometimes harmful) chemicals that are used in professional systems.

You can obtain teeth whitening cheap by using such substances as bicarbonate of soda (baking soda) and table salt mixed together in a slurry and regularly rubbing over the surface of your teeth. It won’t work as quickly as carbamide peroxide and other common active ingredients – and won’t give the same degree of whiteness, but your teeth will become gradually whiter. The thing is to be persistent. You need to get into a special teeth whitening routine which becomes a permanent habit that you sustain.

Combine this with eating the right foods like apples, celery and strawberries. At the same time avoid (or at least minimize) the wrong ones which cause stains, such as beetroot, red wine, curries and coffee.

Brush and floss your teeth regularly after meals to minimize any staining from the foods eaten. If you are a smoker then you definitely need to quit this habit if you wish to obtain that bright, white smile that you have always dreamed of. If you do quit then you may even be able to afford one of the professional teeth whitening treatments from the money that you save by not buying cigarettes anymore!

Whatever you do, don’t give up. There is no excuse no matter how broke you are for having yellow, discolored teeth. You can after all get teeth whitening cheap.
